Leopard Print is Back: How to Incorporate Leopard into your Wardrobe

The leopard print trend is back. Well, it really never went away. Animal prints were spotted (see what I did there?) on the runways of Gucci, Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, and Burberry, just to name a few.  The following outfit ideas incorporate the animal print trend in various ways, from subtle accents to more eye-catching statements.

Outfit 1

Pair an asymmetrical leopard skirt with a basic white tee, cinch it with a belt, and finish the ensemble with a leather jacket for a cool girl look. Accessorize the outfit with pointed toe mules, gold accent jewelry, and a statement bucket bag. This outfit plays with the neutrals, black, brown, and white, producing a look that is everything but basic.

Outfit 2

Leopard leggings are fairly simple to style. The rule of thumb is to maintain all other pieces neutral for a more subtle look, making the leopard print pop. However, feel free to push boundaries and mix patterns because why not? For instance, pair leopard leggings with a graphic white tee and a mustard wrap coat. Finish the look with black loafer mules, a black crossbody, and gold-tone statement earrings. This is a casual look that can easily be dressed up with a clutch and platform booties (or pumps, depending on your mood).

Leopard print dresses are hot right now and will be relevant through the summer. A flirty leopard maxi dress can be dressed up or down and can be transitioned from spring to summer. Cinch a flowy leopard dress at the waist with a trendy circle buckle belt and pair it with strappy sandals along with a perforated tote bag for a refreshing summer look. Maintain the accessories simple by just adding black resin statement earrings. For an outfit more fitting for chilly spring weather, add a black leather jacket and swap the sandals for booties.

Outfit 4

This long-sleeved, satin maxi dress is spewing out 70’s vibes. With its feminine elegance, this dress can be dressed up or down. It is paired with a leopard print belt cinched at the waist, a brown bucket bag, and camel pointy flats. Accessories are maintained minimal with beaded rose gold earrings. Swap the flats for heels and the bucket bag for a statement clutch to create a chic evening outfit.

Outfit 5

This outfit is perfect for work wear, but can transition smoothly to nighttime activities. The beige, high-waisted trousers are paired with a buttoned down blouse and leopard print pumps for a chic and trendy outfit. The neutrals motif is carried out with a caramel toffee tote and a white pendant necklace. This outfit also tips its hat at another trend for S/S 2019: an all neutrals ensemble. Unbutton the blouse a bit for a more relaxed look perfect for a night and swap the tote for a clutch or small crossbody. Another option is to trade the long sleeves for a sleeveless, silky top.
